Q: What is being announced?

A: INFINITI announced that it will withdraw operations from Australia in late 2020.

 

Q: Why is INFINITI doing this?

A: INFINITI is restructuring the brand to focus on its largest growth markets, specifically North America and China.

 

Q: Why are you announcing this so far in advance of closure in Australia?

A: This will allow for a well-managed transition from Australia for both dealers and customers

 

Q: How many dealers does this impact?
 

A: Five dealers: 2 in Melbourne, 2 in Sydney and 1 in Perth.

Q: I own an INFINITI, do I need to be concerned?

A: No, it is business as usual and we will continue to look after you as an existing owner – along with future INFINITI owners. In the near future we will confirm our plans to support customers beyond late 2020.  



Q: I just ordered an INFINITI prior to this announcement, can I cancel my order?

A: Please speak to the INFINITI Centre where you placed your order. They will be happy to give you more information and talk through the options of progressing with or cancelling your order. 


 

Q: I own an INFINITI – what will happen if I need to make a warranty claim?

A: Please contact your local INFINITI dealer. We are putting plans in place to ensure that you will continue to enjoy the service and support you expect into the future 


 

Q: What will happen to spare parts availability in Australia? Will I be able to keep my car on the road in the event of an accident?

A: Until late 2020, our operations and your experience will remain the same – and we are putting plans in place to ensure that you will continue to enjoy the service and support you expect long after that date. 


 

Q: So will Nissan dealers sell or service INFINITI in the future?

A: Beyond 2020, we are assessing the most effective and convenient way of providing services for INFINITI owners including service, maintenance and warranty repairs. We will confirm these arrangements in the months to come.


 

Q: Will I still continue to get the premium roadside assistance that was included when I purchased the vehicle?

A: Until late 2020, our operations and your experience will remain the same – and we are putting plans in place to ensure that you will continue to enjoy the service and support you expect long after that date.


Q: How will I be able to get map updates for my car?

A: Please contact your local INFINITI dealer. We are putting plans in place to ensure that you will continue to enjoy the service and support you expect long after late 2020.


Q: I was about to order an INFINITI but it now seems like a risky purchase. How can you restore my confidence in my purchase?

A: Until late 2020, our operations and your experience will remain the same – and we are putting plans in place to ensure that you will continue to enjoy the service and support you expect long after that date. That said, please contact your INFINITI Centre directly to discuss the terms and conditions of any future purchase.
